What we collect
When you use PV Story, we log the Instagram usernames you search, any follower snapshots you initiate, and standard server access logs (IP address, timestamp, endpoint). We do not collect passwords, credentials, or any payment information.
How we use it
Follower snapshots exist solely to power the follower diff feature — comparing who followed or unfollowed between two points in time. Server logs are used for abuse prevention and basic service monitoring. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
Search history
Your recent searches are saved in your own browser's localStorage. They never leave your device — we do not store search history on our servers. You can clear it at any time from the homepage.
Data retention
Follower snapshots are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes.
Third-party services
We use third-party services for infrastructure (hosting, caching, error tracking). These services may process limited technical data under their own privacy policies. We don't use advertising networks or analytics that track individual users across sites.
Your rights
You can request deletion of any data we hold about you. Send a request to contact@pvstory.com and we'll handle it within 30 days.
