What is PV Story?
PV Story lets you browse public Instagram profiles — stories, followers, posts, highlights — without logging in and without the account owner knowing you were there.
Why we built this
Instagram shows you who viewed your story. That's fine most of the time, but there are plenty of legitimate reasons you'd want to check something without announcing yourself. Maybe you're doing research, keeping tabs on a competitor, or just don't want to send that notification. We built PV Story so you have that option.
What we actually do
We fetch publicly available data — the same content you'd see if you opened Instagram while logged out. We don't break into private accounts, we don't scrape data in bulk, and we don't store your searches on our servers. Your recent searches stay in your browser's local storage, not ours.
Follower tracking
The follower tracker is one of the things that makes PV Story different. When you check a profile's follower list, we take a snapshot. The next time you check, we compare the two and show you exactly who appeared or disappeared. It's straightforward and it works.
No account needed
You don't sign up, you don't give us an email, and you don't connect your Instagram account. Just enter a username and go. That's the whole point.
